FULLY BOOKED Botanical Drawing with Coloured Pencil and Graphite
Term 3 is drawing to a close, and students have been working on moth orchid (Phalaenopsis) flowers. Their graphite studies are looking beautifully accomplished, capturing the subtle light variations on the petals and intricate markings of these flowers.
The subjects for Term 4 are berries. Students will focus on blueberries and raspberries and, time permitting, move on to some other summer fruits. Classes will continue at the QHub Auditorium in the Information Centre, 49–55 Hesse Street, Queenscliff.
Botanical Drawing will again be offered, with students able to choose either coloured pencil or graphite as their preferred medium, all within a friendly, supportive and encouraging learning environment.
Class dates: 8, 22 October; 5, 19 November; 3 December
Class times: 10am-3.30pm with 30 mins for lunch

Tuesdays 2-4.30pm
Starting date of term: Tuesday 6 October 2026
Finishing date of term: Tuesday 1 December 2026
This class will be presented weekly over 8 weeks at Domain House and is a beginners to intermediate class. Subjects will be seasonally dependant such as fruit, vegetables or plants with interesting forms. You will have developed more confidence in your drawing and a better understanding of graphite pencil techniques.
